Membership
FULL & LIFE MEMBERS: These members shall be entitled to enjoy the full amenities and privileges of the club and play on all days except when the course is closed.
MIDWEEK MEMBERS: These members shall be entitled to enjoy the full amenities and privileges of the club but may only play on Monday – Friday each week. If they wish to play on a weekend day, that shall pay an additional fee of $15 on that day. Not eligible for Club Championships.
9 HOLE MEMBERS: These members shall be entitled to enjoy the full amenities and privileges of the club but are only permitted to play 9 holes at any one time.
JUNIOR MEMBERS (UNDER 19 @ 1 MARCH): These members shall be entitled to enjoy the full amenities and privileges of the club. If they have a full playing handicap, they may enter all club competitions and playing days.
JUNIOR MEMBERS (20-24 @ 1 MARCH): These members shall be entitled to enjoy the full amenities and privileges of the club as full members, but must have a full playing handicap, and be under 24 on 1 March.
STUDENT MEMBERS (UNDER 18): These members shall be entitled to enjoy the full amenities and privileges of the club except purchasing liquor over the bar. They must be under 18 at the 1 March and be attending school or a tertiary education facility. If they have a full playing handicap, they will enjoy full playing rights.
COUNTRY MEMBERS: These Members must be a full member of a golf club outside Marlborough District. They will enjoy full playing rights at the club.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS: These Members shall be full members of any other clubs in New Zealand. They shall be entitled to enjoy the full amenities and privileges of the club and play on all days except when the course is closed. They cannot enter the Rarangi Golf Club Championship competition and are not permitted to play in any club trophy events. Not eligible to win any Rarangi Club Trophies.
SUMMER & WINTER MEMBERS: These members shall be entitled to enjoy the full amenities and privileges of the club and playing rights for 4 months maximum. Summer is from November to February, and Winter is May – August. They may obtain a golf handicap after submitting at least 5 signed cards.
FIRST TIME MEMBERS: These members shall be entitled to enjoy the full amenities and privileges of the club and play on all days. They must not have been a member of any golf club within the last 5 years, and the membership is for one year only.

Hole In One
These rules apply to all members with playing rights.
A hole in One will be recognised under the following conditions.
- Rarangi Club Members who score a hole in one in an Official Competition at Rarangi shall be entitled to a Bar Voucher of up to $75 to cover bar expenses on the day in question. Junior members scoring a hole in one at Rarangi in competition play shall be entitled to receive a $75 voucher. These players shall receive three golf balls and their name placed on the Club Honours Board.
- Rarangi Club Members who score a hole in one while representing the club (e.g. Interclub, club visits, Representative and National Level) shall, subject to the Match Committee approval and proof of purchase, be entitled to reimbursement of bar expenses up to $75
- A Rarangi Club Member who scores a Hole in One while playing a round at RGC in a two or more will have their ball mounted and name placed on the club honours board.
